What is keyword research? Keyword research identifies the language people use to find answers, compare options, and take action. A useful keyword connects a real reader need with an appropriate page and credible evidence—not just a search-volume number.

Keyword Research and Intent Planner

No invented SEO metrics. Generated phrases are research hypotheses. Search volume, difficulty, clicks, impressions, and position appear only when you supply them.

A better keyword workflow: generate, validate, decide

Start with a focused topic rather than a single extremely broad word. “Affiliate reporting” provides more useful planning context than “marketing.” Add the language your audience uses, then treat the generated list as a set of questions to investigate.

1. Establish what the data actually represents

Search Console impressions and clicks describe observed visibility for your property, selected dates, and filters. Imported search volume is usually a provider’s estimate of market demand. They are different measurements and should not be treated as interchangeable.

Keep the source, date range, country, and device context in your research notes. Difficulty scales vary between providers. This tool accepts a supplied 0–100 difficulty value but does not use it as proof that you can rank.

2. Confirm intent using the current results

“What is email automation?” generally needs an explanation. “Best email automation tools” usually needs an evaluation. “Email automation pricing” may need current offer details. These are useful starting distinctions, but search results in your target market should determine the final page format.

3. Prefer improving the right page over creating another page

If a supplied query already has impressions and a position between 4 and 20, the tool highlights it for existing-page review. That is not a promise of an easy win. Check which URL ranks, whether it serves the intent, and whether its evidence, title, internal links, or usability need improvement.

Seed groups in this tool are based on phrase matching, not live SERP similarity. Two queries belong together when they need substantially the same answer—not merely because they share a word.

4. Build a brief around evidence

Use the “Plan page” button to create a research brief. Decide what your page can show that helps the reader make progress: a tested workflow, a calculation, an annotated example, a comparison with clear criteria, or an original observation. Do not publish every generated candidate as a separate page.

Frequently asked questions

Does this tool retrieve live Google search data?

No. It generates candidates locally and organizes the data you provide. It does not access Google autocomplete, retrieve current rankings, or manufacture search volume.

Why is a metric marked “Not supplied” rather than zero?

Missing data and zero are different. A missing volume value means this tool does not know the volume. A supplied zero remains zero.

Can intent classification be wrong?

Yes. The labels are phrase-based suggestions. Brand names, ambiguous language, and mixed search results can change intent. Review the actual results before assigning a page type.

Will the tool upload my CSV?

This page’s code reads the file in your browser and does not upload it. If you embed the tool into a site with other scripts, those scripts have their own data practices.
